Hats, masks, and sculptures big and small. Our hands on workshops inspire young people to create unique works of art to keep. Participants can drop in or book in. You choose the method which best suits your event. Using recycled materials whenever possible, our team of professional artists run workshops with a focus on fun, originality and safety.
Dinosaur Dig
Join us on a dinosaur dig! Our bumbling palaeontologists need your help to sift through the sands of time and uncover relics from the past. All training and tools are provided-just bring your sense of adventure. Be prepared to re assemble the skeletal remains of any creature we may find, and record your findings with a picture or model to take home.
Race against time
Rescue the frogs! Water the talking tree! Put the veggie scraps in the compost bin!
Race Against Time is an adventure game with a sustainability theme. Participants work in teams and follow an obstacle course incorporating large colourful props. It’s active, it’s fun and it’s environmentally friendly! A truly great activity to keep young people entertained and working together for a common goal.
Build a monster
Let’s build a big sculpture in one day. How about a 3 metre high monster or perhaps just a reclining mermaid? Using bamboo, cane, and other materials, we will design and construct a larger than life creature with you. We’ve built big sculptures of all kinds: trains, fish, mermaids, dinosaurs, and airplanes -even a model of Darwin’s Beagle for the Australian National Maritime Museum. It’s yours to keep, display or carry in a parade at the end of the day.
Junk percussion
Grab a stick, shake a rattle and join our junk percussion band. Drumming together is such fun! We provide instruments and start the beat. Learn some simple rhythms, listen and play together. Our homemade drums are portable, so we can go on a little parade. If time allows we’ll make some hats to wear too. All drums and shakers are made from recycled materials. If you’d like to make some of your own to keep, we can source and prepare materials for you. Then it’s up to you to complete and decorate as you like.
