SOLARUS ARTS
VISUAL ARTS
Various Circus Solarus artists are trained in fine arts and sculpture, have their work in public and private collections, conduct skills workshops in various artforms and participate in group and solo exhibitions of their work. Forms include drawing, painting, sculpture, leather masks, lanterns, costumes, and textiles- dyeing and painting.

DRAMA
Circus Solarus artists have 20 years experience as performers in a range of areas, from street to stage. The troupe is committed to creating theatre that inspires, entertains and surprises. From story development to character creation, we incorporate the fundamental elements of drama in our work.

Circus Solarus accepts commissions, whether for an individual character or a complete show -anything from a comical camel on stilts to a full-scale festival finale. We are also available for workshops in all aspects of our performance.

Workshops - Street theatre skills, devising scenarios, audience interaction, character creation, stilts, improvisation, stagecraft and choreography, safe working practices, comic characters, scriptwriting, costume and make up, documenting life stories.

PERCUSSION
The newest member of our core ensemble, Catherine Woodger is a percussionist experienced in outdoor performance and theatrical productions. Percussion is used by us as an exciting parade element - it also adds a live dynamic to outdoor spectaculars and our comic musical acts.

Catherine has collaborated with such groups as Aerialize, Circus Monoxide, Extended Limbs, Spontaneous Combustion on shows for events such as Sydney Festival, the Riot Acts and the Re-enactment of the Battle of Vinegar Hill. (see Artists Bio’s)
