City workers enjoying their lunchbreak were met by Percival P Paper and Ruthy Recycle at Martin Place in Sydney recently. Lord Mayor Clover Moore stopped for a chat and was interested in the characters’ costumes which are made almost entirely from recycled materials, including tea towels, geographical maps and empty soft drink bottles.  Information stalls from organisations such as Bicycle New South Wales, Earth Hour and GreenPower were on hand to advise on sustainability strategies. Many people took one of the free native plants home, or back to the office!

Circus Solarus have a number of other ‘Environment Friendly’ characters, including the Trees on Stilts, Patti Cake, and the Shower Show - a mobile shower cubicle with a difference. We can also create characters, interactive games or events to suit a particular event.
